Artefact Rathfarnham

Alva Mac Gowan with a 17th century wine bottle and chamber pot discovered recently in Rathfarnham Castle, Dublin - which was built in 1583 - during works being carried out under the auspices of the Office of Public Works. The treasure trove of artefacts also includes a fully intact glass and selection of seeds and pips from olives, melons, grapes, cherries, peaches and other 'exotic' fruit.
