Leaving Cert: Applied Maths 'not as hard as last year'
Not as hard as last year – that was the verdict of teacher Aidan Roantree on the Leaving Cert higher level Applied Maths paper.
Mr Roantree of Dublin’s Institute of Education said “there were a few challenging questions, especially at the beginning of the paper, but some of the more popular questions such as pulleys, collisions, and differential equations were very nice”.
He said the statics question was also very accessible, although , adding that it’s not a popular question.
“All in all students should have been able to find four to five very good questions to give them the basis of a good grade,” he said.
