NAMA will have to pursue bust developer Sean Dunne through the bankruptcy courts in the US for a €184m judgment.
A hearing in the case between the agency and the developer was cancelled in a civil court in Stamford, Connecticut yesterday.
Under US rules, a lawsuit against a person is put on hold once they file for bankruptcy.
The case against his wife Gayle Killilea has also been postponed because it revolves around her husband's financial transactions.
Mr Dunne's bankruptcy application is due to be heard on Monday where NAMA will have the opportunity to contest the request.
