Dundon's holiday plans put on ice

PLANS by a feared criminal who has just been released from prison to enjoy a holiday in the sun have been hampered by the ongoing dispute among passport workers.

Wayne Dundon (32), who was released from Wheatfield Prison last Friday, has returned to Limerick after completing his seven-year sentence for threatening to kill barman Ryan Lee in December 2004.

It is understood Dundon intends to travel abroad -- possibly to the Mediterranean. On Monday, he got application forms for a passport, but he will have to endure a lengthy wait before the application can be processed as the dispute continues.
