A fire at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin city centre is being brought under control by Dublin Fire Brigade.

The alarm was raised shortly after 5.30pm this evening and at one stage there were five units from Tara Street and Dolphin’s Barn stations at the scene.

The building was evacuated and crews entered the building where the fire was brought under control and is now being extinguished.
