DSPCA issues warning about buying puppies online as 'first Christmas puppy' handed into charity
DSPCA have issued a warning about buying puppies online after another dog was handed into the charity in the run-up to Christmas.
Prancer was handed into the DSPCA this morning after his owners dropped him off at the charity.
"Despite all our warnings here is our first Christmas puppy being handed into the shelter today," the DSPCA said.
"He was bought online and collected only yesterday from a puppy farm. The excuse was 'he wasn't getting on with our other dog'.
"Of course he is not vaccinated or microchipped. People need to be responsible and stop buying puppies online."
The DSPCA said Prancer will be fostered over the Christmas period.
