DPP gets file on teen's stabbing

GARDAI are to submit a file to the DPP over a vicious assault on July 29, in which a teen fled into a supermarket but was pursued and stabbed in the head.

The 17-year old was stabbed with what is believed to have been a screwdriver at the store in Mallow, Co Cork. Luckily, he sustained slash rather than stab injuries as the weapon deflected off his head.

Gardai released without charge two teens held in connection with the attack, which occurred after a row between a group of teens.
