'Den' sells for €273K

'Dragons' Den' star Barry O'Sullivan's Inis Mór home on the Aran Islands has sold for €273,000. The property was kindly put up for sale by the tech entrepreneur for charity and the proceeds will go to COPE Galway & Focus Ireland.

Collins Dublin date

MUSICIAN Phil Collins has announced a Dublin date at the Aviva Stadium on June 25.

It will be Collins' first time playing in Ireland for 12 years. The 'Another Day in Paradise' singer will perform all of his greatest hits as part of his Not Dead Yet comeback tour.

Hostel beats protests

A FORMER community centre in Dublin's Liberties can open after the High Court rejected objections by local residents.

The opening of the emergency hostel at Carman's Hall in Francis Street by Dublin City Council was delayed as a result of the challenge.

Burglar spared jail

A "REFORMED" serial burglar who broke into unoccupied houses while out on bail has been given a four-year suspended sentence.

Aidan Quigley (43), of Rushbrook Avenue, Templeogue, Dublin, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to two charges of burglary and one attempted burglary on dates between June 13, 2014, and May 15, 2015.

Rape trial for boy

A BOY is facing trial accused of raping a young girl at a park in Dublin earlier this year when he was 14.

Now aged 15, he appeared before Dublin Children's Court yesterday after he was charged in the presence of his mother at a south Dublin garda station.

Missing teen plea

Gardaí have appealed for help from the public to find Natasha McNeill (16) who has been missing from the Ballinspittle area of Cork since December 11.

Natasha is described as 5ft 6in in height, of slight build, with brown eyes and dark plum-colored hair with a long pony tail. It is believed she may be in the Clonmel area.
