A DAD whose teenage daughter took her own life after being targeted by online bullies is set to do a charity cycle in her memory.

Jonathan Pugsley, whose daughter Ciara (15) died in September 2012 after being abused on the Ask.fm site, says he wants to raise money to prevent other deaths.

He plans to cycle the 600km journey from Mizen Head to Malin Head.

Mr Pugsley, whose daughter played gaelic football from Leitrim, is hoping to raise thousands of euro for Console, the national suicide prevention charity.

“Unfortunately, we probably all know of someone who is not enjoying such good health and I hope I can help others by doing this,” said Jonathan who begins his trip on May 25.

“I’ve just started training I could hardly manage 60km never mind 600km but I’m going to give it a go.

“I know from my own personal experience that the help given by organisations like Console is totally invaluable and it often goes unnoticed,” he said.
