Cyclist in his 40s killed in morning collision with van Newsdesk Newsdesk

A CYCLIST aged in his 40s has been killed in a collision this morning.

Gardaí are investigating the fatal road traffic collision at Moneydarragh, Gleneely, Co Donegal on the Redcastle to Gleneely road, which happened at about 9.15am.

The cyclist was fatally injured in the collision with a van while a second cyclist was injured - although his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The driver of the van was not injured.

The road at the scene remains closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
