Crimestoppers offer €11k reward for information on Irish pair wanted for questioning in connection with murder of British pensioner

Police in the United Kingdom have appealed for information on two Irish men wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of an 87-year-old man.

Arthur Gumbley was attacked during a burglary at his home in Sutton Coldfield on November 21 and he later died in hospital.

The two men wanted for questioning were named by police as Tom Joseph Ward (17) and Michael Connors (28).

UK Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £10,000 (€11,200) for information on the two men.

Connors is described as 5ft 5'' in height, of average build with an Irish accent.

Ward is 5ft 8'', of average build and also has an Irish accent.

"Following an extensive investigation, we are keen to talk to Jimmy Michael Connors (28) and Tom Joseph Ward (17) about their whereabouts on the day of the incident," a spokesman for Staffordshire Police said.

"If you know these two men pictured, or know of their recent whereabouts, we need your help to track them down."
