Three men arrested after terrifying armed shop raid

Gardaí have arrested three men after a terrifying shop raid in North Dublin.

The men, aged  38, 39 and 45 years, were held in connection with an investigation into the robbery of a convenience store located at a shopping complex in Edenmore, Coolock, Dublin on Sunday.

At approximately 6.30pm three men, masked and believed to be armed with a firearm and a baseball bat, entered the shop and demanded money from staff.

They fled on foot with a small amount of cash and cigarettes.

Gardaí arrested two men a short time later, close to the scene. A third man was later arrested.

All three men are detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended at Coolock and Swords Garda Stations.

A firearm and a baseball bat were recovered by gardaí and have been seized for technical examination.
