Staff threatened with gun as 'lone' raider robs 'sum of money' from shop

A "lone raider" got away with a sum of cash on Monday night after carrying out an armed robbery at a Dublin shop.

The man, who was armed with a firearm, entered Centra in Harold's Cross at around 7.30pm.

He threatened staff and and stole a "sum of money".

A witness who was in the store at the time wrote on Twitter: "Not everyday you get held up in an armed robbery buying a bottle of water".

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
