Man (22) hospitalised after stabbing at apartment complex

A man was hospitalised after being stabbed yesterday afternoon.

Gardaí were called to Riverdale complex in Haymarket, Co. Carlow at approximately 2:45pm yesterday after a suspected aggravated burglary.

The man (22) was being treated by paramedics for suspected stab wounds when Gardaí arrived.

He was rushed to to St Luke’s General Hospital, Kilkenny and his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Carlow Garda Station Superintendent Gerard Redmond launched their appeal into the incident today.

He said: "I am appealing for information from any potential witness who may have heard or seen anything in the vicinity of Riverdale Apartments which is located at Haymarket, Carlow – between the hours of 1pm and 3pm on Thursday, 8th June, 2017."
