Gardai investigate fire at Dublin home as 'incident of criminal damage'

Gardai have confirmed that they are treating a fire in a Dublin home as an incident of criminal damage.

One person was treated for smoke inhalation after the fire broke out in Tyrellstown on Saturday night after 10pm.

Three crews from Blanchardstown and Phibsborough stations rushed to the scene.

ESB and Gas Networks Ireland also assisted in the response and the fire was quickly extinguished.

This afternoon gardai confirmed that officers from Blanchardstown are investigating the incident as one of criminal damage.
