Cowen the caped crusader
YOU could almost hear the superhero theme-tune as the Taoiseach swapped his usual suit for a Batcape last night.
Brian Cowen, right, was arriving at Dublin's Merrion Hotel to launch 'An Irish Voice' by Niall O'Dowd, centre, who has written a memoir about his experiences as an Irish emigrant in America.
And in his speech, the Taoiseach urged the depressed denizens of Gotham (Ireland) : "We need to move on, we need to have the resilience and self-belief to recognise that we are not alone in this".
Maybe our Taoiseach has got himself a Cape of Good Hope. All together now: Na na na na na na na na Brian Cowen ...
