Cowen in first interview since leaving office
Former Taoiseach Brian Cowen has finally given his first major interview since his departure from office over two years ago, writes Fionnan Sheahan.
The contents of the interview with TG4 won't be known for another three months.
Although Mr Cowen does speak about the bailout, the interview doesn't go into great detail on the economic crisis and the Fianna Fail meltdown.
Mr Cowen recorded his interview in the Irish language broadcaster's studios in Connemara, Co Galway, yesterday.
The former Taoiseach conducted the interview for the 'Comhra' programme. The 30-minute programme will be broadcast in September.
Presented by Mairtin Tom Sheainin, the show normally features "unsung heroes" speaking about their lives.
