Youth accused of girl's death

A youth accused of murdering a 12-year-old schoolgirl was yesterday served with a book of evidence and sent forward for trial before a judge and jury at the Central Criminal Court.

Jonathan Byrne (19) of Lohunda Downs, Clonsilla in Dublin, has been charged with murdering Michaela Davis on the Porterstown Road, in west Dublin on August 28 last.

Yesterday at Cloverhill District Court, the book of evidence was served on the accused and Judge Bridget Reilly then made an order sending him forward for trial at the next sittings of the Central Criminal Court which begin in January.
