A 39-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of Gareth Hutch. The 35-year-old father of one died of multiple gunshot wounds after he was shot at the Avondale House flats complex on North Cumberland Street on May 24 last year.

Gareth Hutch was a cousin of the late Gary Hutch, and also the nephew of murdered taxi driver Eddie Hutch. Regina Keogh appeared at Dublin District Court, where evidence was given of her arrest, charge and caution.

After her arrest shortly before 9.30am on Saturday, she was brought to Mountjoy Garda Station, where she was charged with murder. Ms Keogh replied: "I didn't do it. I didn't murder anybody."

Judge Michael Coghlan agreed to a request that she be seen by a doctor, as she is on a lot of medication. Ms Keogh has been remanded in custody to appear again on June 16.
