A TEENAGE boy's trial for allegedly conning people into buying fake Apple iPhones has been delayed because his parents went on an all-night drinking binge.
The 17-year-old pleaded not guilty at the Children's Court to "deception" on September 23.
He was due to face trial yesterday, but the teenager turned up for his case without his mother and father. A parent or guardian is compelled to attend cases at the court.
When Judge Bryan Smyth asked where the parents were, the teen replied: "They were drinking all night and did not stop until morning."
