Tadhg Butler (32) charged with murder of Michael O'Dwyer

A 32-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Michael O'Dwyer last Thursday.

Tadhg Butler, with an address at Seafield, Tramore in Waterford - but originally from Kilkenny city - is alleged to have killed 25-year-old.

Mr Butler was brought before a special sitting of Waterford District Court this afternoon.

He has been remanded in custody to appear again in court in Waterford next Tuesday.

Mr O'Dwyer, who was also from Kilkenny, died at Waterford Regional hospital from his injuries after a stabbing incident.
