Schoolgirl guilty of detaining men against their will
A TEENAGE schoolgirl has admitted charges of detaining two men against their will.
The 17-year-old appeared before Roscommon Circuit Criminal Court yesterday.
Dressed in jeans and runners, she sat beside a woman who had accompanied her for the in-camera hearing.
She is charged with detaining a man in Co Roscommon on June 18 of this year. She is also charged with detaining a second man without his consent in the same area on June 25.
She replied 'guilty' when asked how she was pleading to each charge.
Judge Tony Hunt ordered a victim impact report and a report from the Probation and Welfare Service to be prepared prior to sentencing in the new year.
