Quinn to be clear of contempt order
THE sale of Sean Quinn Jnr's Dublin home in the next four weeks will purge a contempt of court order against him.
Once the transaction over the house at Alder Lodge, Farmleigh Woods, Castleknock, is completed, that will be the end of High Court contempt proceedings against Mr Quinn, Ms Justice Elizabeth Dunne said yesterday.
Mr Quinn's counsel told the judge that two valuations of €400,000 and €450,000 have been received respectively for the house, which Mr Quinn owns with his wife Karen Woods.
His half of the sale will go to IBRC, which brought the case over a finding by Ms Justice Dunne that he participated in a $500,000 (€364,000) payment to Quinn Properties Ukraine's Larissa Puga on the eve of IBRC'S takeover of QPU.
