A 33-year-old man charged with the murder of Romanian teenager Marioara Rostas has been further remanded in custody.

Alan Wilson, of New Street Gardens, Dublin 8, is accused of the murder of the 18-year-old at Brabazon Street in the south inner city on January 8, 2008.

At Cloverhill District Court yesterday, Judge John Lindsay agreed to a request from defence solicitor Donough Molloy for a two-week remand with consent from the prosecution.

Mr Wilson was remanded in custody to appear again at the same court on April 26 next.

A post-mortem revealed that Marioara had been shot in the head.

The body of the 18-year-old, who disappeared from a Dublin city-centre street four years ago, was found following an 13-day search in January in the Wicklow Mountains.
