A man is due to appear before court this evening in connection to the death of dissident Larry Keane last summer.
he man, who is in his 40s, will appear before a sitting of Naas District Court and is due to be charged in connection to Mr Keane’s death Athy on July 18th last.
The man was arrested this morning at Newbridge Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Mr Keane’s body was found in a laneway in a housing estate in the Co Kildare town.
Larry Keane was sentenced to 15 years in jail for what was believed to be a plot to bomb the Grand National at Aintree in 1998.
His sentence was reduced to ten years on appeal.
