A man in his thirties is due to appear in court this morning charged in relation to a double murder.

The bodies of Anthony Burnett and Joseph Redmond were discovered in a burnt-out car in March 2012.

The pair, from Ballybough in Dublin's north inner city, were found in the front seats of a burning car close to Ravensdale Forest in March 2012 in a shocking double murder that stunned North Louth.

The fire was noticed by a passer-by in the early hours of the morning and members of Dundalk Fire Service attended the scene.

The man is due to appear at Dundalk District Court at 10.30am.
