A 24-year-old man has been charged at Kilkenny District Court in connection with a tiger-kidnapping at the home former All-Ireland hurling star Adrian Ronan.
Stephen Freeman of Balcurris Gardens, Ballymun, Dublin, was changed with false imprisonment, possession of a handgun and attempted theft.
He had been arrested in connection with a raid on the home of retired Kilkenny hurler Adrian Ronan in November 2009 who was a bank employee.
Freeman was granted bail but a number of strict conditions apply.
They include a curfew between the hours of 10pm and 7am.
But he was remanded in custody until such time as he surrenders his passport.
He will appear in court again next week.
