Limerick man has Austrian rhino horns extradition case adjourned
A Limerick man facing prosecution in Austria in connection with the theft of rhino horns, has had his case further adjourned at the High Court.
John Quilligan (31) of Roches Road in Rathkeale is wanted by Austrian prosecutors investigating the theft of the horns which are estimated to be worth €300,000 on the black market.
Today the court heard there was consent for the case to go back for several weeks.
Last month Ms Elva Duffy BL for Mr Quilligan told the court her client had filed and affidavit and that the prosecution would need further time to consider it.
Mr Justice John Edwards adjourned the case and remanded Mr Quilligan on continuing bail. The case will be mentioned again on June 4.
