Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake launch Dublin High Court proceedings
Actress Jessica Biel and popstar Justin Timberlake have lodged defamation proceedings in the High Court in Dublin.
RTE’s Morning Ireland reported that the couple issued the proceedings in relation to a photograph and article that was published in British celebrity magazine ‘Heat’ a couple of weeks ago.
‘Heat’ is also sold in Ireland and throughout Europe – it is published by a German company.
It’s understood two separate but related defamation proceedings have been lodged by the couple in the last two days in the High Court in Dublin.
The proceedings relate to pictures and a story published by the magazine last month.
The story appeared inside the publication and purported to carry quotes from ‘Total Recall’ actress Biel.
The couple have been married for two years.
Biel (32) and Timberlake (33) say they have been defamed by the article and are now pursuing a case through the Irish courts using the law firm Johnsons, and will be represented by solicitor Paul Tweed.
Mr Tweed, represents the couple in Europe, and it’s thought the case will come before the High Court here in the next list.
