A FIVE-YEAR-OLD girl who will have a scar on her face for the rest of her life after falling in a well-known toy store has received a €27,500 settlement.

Brianna Healy was two years old when the accident happened in Hamleys Toys store in Dundrum shopping centre in Dublin on February 23, 2009.

Her father, Steven Healy, yesterday said they were happy with the settlement.

"She split her head open," her father, from Woodpark, Ballinteer, Dublin, said.

Barrister Eileen McAuley said that a settlement offer of €20,000 had been refused.

Circuit Court President Mr Justice Matthew Deery heard yesterday that Brianna's mother was happy to accept a new offer of €27,500.
