A FORMER official with the National Asset Management Agency will stand trial next year accused of disclosing confidential information.

Enda Farrell (38) with a listed address of La Reine, Avenue Louise, Brussels, Belgium and formerly of Dunboyne, Co Meath appeared before the District Court last year where his case was sent forward to Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Mr Farrell faces 13 charges contrary to the 2009 NAMA Act for disclosing confidential information in May, June and July 2012.

Michael Bowman SC, defending, told Judge Martin Nolan that his client wanted the court to set a trial date. He indicated that disclosure in the case was “largely completed”.

Judge Nolan set a trial date for January 18, 2016 and Kerida Naidoo BL, prosecuting, requested witness and exhibit orders for that date.
