Figures reveal extent of sex trafficking problem
Here are some of the figures from Ruhama revealing the extent of Ireland's sex trafficking problem:
The charity helped 66 victims of trafficking last year, with one girl aged just 15 when she was brought into the country.
There were 26 new cases from 11 countries - 45% were from Nigeria, 15% were from Romania and 8% were from Kenya.
The majority of new victims of trafficking in 2009 were aged between 20 and 30.
Seven of the new women supported by Ruhama last year were first trafficked into other European countries (Italy, the UK and France) and escaped to Ireland.
19 were trafficked directly into and around Ireland.
11 victims were located in Dublin.
