Dublin youth arrested for stealing car remanded in custody

A DUBLIN youth arrested for stealing a car after he allegedly burgled its owner's house has been remanded in custody.

The 17-year-old was charged today with burglary of a house Ardara Avenue, Donaghmede, north Dublin and theft of a car from the same location, on July 26.

The Dublin Children's Court that he is also accused of interfering with another car at Sutton Park, north Dublin, on July 23 last.

Judge William Early heard gardai were objecting to bail based on the seriousness of the charges.

The court also heard that the teenager had been arrested for a number of offences five days in a row.

The teenager was refused bail and remanded in custody to appear again next week.
