Dublin man charged with murder of young dad refused bail

A 30-year-old charged with murdering a man in Tallaght five years ago has been refused bail at the Central Criminal Court.

27-year-old Seamus (Shay) O'Byrne was shot in the driveway of a house in Tymon Park North, Tallaght on March 13, 2009.

Today lawyers for Gary Flynn from Rossfield Drive, Tallaght made an application for bail to the court.

Mr Justice Paul Carney refused bail and remanded Mr Flynn in continuing custody.

A trial date has been set for January 11, 2016.
