DPP to receive file on fair ride death plunge
A FILE is expected to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions next month after a woman fell to her death from a fairground ride outside the O2 arena in Dublin.
Siobhan Healy (31) from Ballinlough, Co Roscommon, died as a result of the accident which happened after she had attended a Britney Spears concert on October 23 last year.
Dublin Coroner's Court heard yesterday she died as a result of multiple traumatic injuries.
Ms Healy was at the top of the ride when she fell. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardai are nearing completion of their investigation, the court heard.
Ms Healy's uncle, Sean Kilboyle, told the inquest that Ms Healy was an only child, survived by her mother.
The inquest was adjourned until February 4.
