Date set for trial of Frederick 'Freddie' Thompson and co-accused
A date has been set at the non-jury Special Criminal Court for the trial of Frederick "Freddie" Thompson and another man accused of murdering David Douglas.
Mr Douglas (55) was shot dead in July last year.
Mr Thompson (36), with an address at Loreto Road, Maryland, Dublin 8, and Nathan Foley (18), with an address at Rosary Road, Maryland, Dublin 8, are both charged with the murder of Mr Douglas at Bridgefoot Street in Dublin on July 1, 2016.
Mr Foley is also charged with damaging a car at Strand Road, Dublin 4 three days later, on July 4, 2016.
Mr Justice Tony Hunt, presiding, set a trial date of April 30th next year.
The court heard that the trial is expected to last two weeks.
The men were remanded in custody.
The case was listed for mention again on December 21.
