Commuters experiencing major traffic delays following rush-hour collision
Commuters are experiencing major traffic delays during evening rush hour following a collision in Palmerstown, Dublin.
The Kennelsfort Road was closed both ways near the Chapelizod Bypass as emergency services dealt with the incident.
Gardaí confirmed a collision in the area, but no other details are known at the moment.
The road has since been cleared and reopened but major delays remain in the area.
The bus lane inbound to Dublin was also closed to traffic.
One commuter wrote on Twitter; "Don't go near Palmerstown this evening. All sides of the rode blocked by fire brigade and Garda."

The road is heavily used by commuters to gain access to the M50 and N4 from the west of the capital.
There was also a breakdown on the M50 northbound in the middle lane just after the J4 Ballymun.
The incident has since been cleared but delays remain in the area.
Meanwhile, the 4pm train from Connolly Station to Sligo was delayed by 20 minutes this evening due to anti-social behaviour.
Gardaí attended the incident.
