Collisions and breakdowns on busy roads causing delays for rush-hour commuters
Commuters are facing delays this evening following a number of separate collisions and breakdowns on busy roads.
In Kildare a crash on the Dublin/Sligo road southbound, before junction 6 Celbridge is adding to delays from junction 3 on the busy road.
Live drive - Dublin City Council's traffic management centre - are also reporting a collision at Nutgrove shopping centre in Rathfarnham.
An earlier collision has now cleared from the M50 southbound near J4 Ballymun.
Also in Dublin a broken down bus on South Quays at Wood Quay is blocking the left lane and bus lane, causing delays from George’s Quay.

Meanwhile, a breakdown on the M50 southbound at the Ballymun junction has also added to delays but has been cleared.
A car which broke down on the Ninth Lock roundabout has been cleared but there are delays of up to 25 minutes from Grange Castle as a result.
According to the AA traffic is also slow on the M50 northbound at the Sandyford junction, from Tallaght to the Red Cow junction and at Finglas.
In Limerick there are long southbound delays on the N21 through Adare.
For rail passengers the Bray/Maynooth service has been cancelled due to a mechanical fault. An alternative service is now due to depart from Connolly Station.

Shortly after 6.00pm gardaí were called to a crash on Wyattville Link Road in Ballybrack.
Elsewhere, in Kilkenny gardai are dealing with a collision on the off-ramp of the M9 Dublin/Waterford Rd southbound at junction 8 Kilkenny.
