Clerys Department store will reopen on November 21st, it has been announced.

The iconic Dublin department store will open its doors ahead of the Christmas rush.

The business, which has been operating for 160 years, was forced to shut its doors in July due ot extensive damage.

Since then, a major restoration project has been underway.

OCS Operations Ltd, a subsidiary of private equity and investment company Gordon Brothers Europe, made the announcement this morning.

They said the store had been completely restored with the support of insurers Allianz.

Dominic Prendergast, Managing Director of Clerys, said the store has been restored to its “former glory” following “four months of extensive refurbishment works”.

“This is great news for Dublin, for our valued customers, concession partners and employees,” he added.
