Children put their heart into appeal

Wearing their hearts on their chests, brothers Tom (5) and Artie Hurson (4), from Goatstown, Dublin, back right and front, and Lucy Cullen (5), from Leixlip, were at Government Buildings yesterday for the launch of the Irish Heart Foundation's 23rd happy heart appeal.

More than 3,000 volunteers will take to the streets nationwide tomorrow, Friday and Saturday, selling happy hearts for €2 each to help raise half a million euro to provide free information and support to thousands of heart and stroke patients.
