Charity work is gluten free bread and butter for Finn

Surfer and cookbook author Finn Ní Fhaoláin helped launch Ireland's Coeliac Awareness Week. Last year, the gluten free food market was worth about €66m, a jump of 36pc. Many people are paying more for gluten free products despite not suffering coeliac disease. As a result, the Coeliac Society of Ireland has developed a free, online self-assessment tool.

When members of the public visit or via the

website, they will be asked a number of questions relating to their current health. If they match to some of those of coeliac disease, they will be encouraged to seek a medical diagnosis. Coeliac Awareness Week takes place nationwide between May 8 and 15 and is supported by SuperValu.
