Former champion female amateur jockey Nina Carberry always togged out in racing silks and jockey's cap for The Curragh, but tomorrow she returns to cast her eye over the style.

Nina is joining the judging panel for the Dubai Duty Free Best Dressed Lady competition. The 33-year-old, who retired from the saddle in April, joins Bairbre Power, Fashion Editor of the Irish Independent and Weekend magazine, and Breeda McLoughlin, wife of CEO and executive vice chairman of Dubai Duty Free Colm McLoughlin, to judge the style competition.

The coveted prize is a luxury trip to Dubai for two, including flights and accommodation at the five-star Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, a €1,000 spending spree at Dubai Duty Free, and a two-night stay at The K-Club.

"I am really looking forward to being at The Curragh for the top-class racing, not to mention the fabulous style and I'm thrilled to be part of this year's judging panel," said Carberry. "It's going to be a lovely day weather wise and I'm sure that will bring out the best outfits and lots of classy looks. The Derby is synonymous with style and I'll be looking for an eye-catching and appropriate outfit for a day at the races."

The first race will be at 1.40pm and the feature race is going to post at 5.15pm.
