Rehearsals are in full swing for the Spraoi International Street Arts Festival on the upcoming bank holiday weekend in Waterford.

Magdalena Karol and Nick Kavanagh were pictured yesterday getting ready, for the 'All At Sea' parade, which is the highlight of this year's event.

The colourful production will wind its way through the streets at night.

Around 100,000 people will flock to the city for Spraoi. It will run from August 2-4 and feature almost 250 different attractions.

This year marks the 27th time the annual festival has been run, and the focus on its launch day will be firmly with Irish street arts.

Organisers say that events at the festival have helped to assist the burgeoning of the street arts sector in Ireland.
