Cannabis grow house found in rural Longford

A cannabis grow-house has been discovered in a rural area of Co Longford with plants worth in the region of €90,000 seized by gardai.

The house in the townland of Ballinamuck was searched yesterday as a result of ongoing investigations by gardai from the Divisional Drugs Unit based in Roscommon.

During the course of the search they discovered 114 Cannabis plants with related cultivation processes such as heat lamps and watering systems.

A 22-year-old man was arrested and is being detained under Section 2 of Criminal Justice Act at Longford Garda station.
