The Simon Community charity is marking 50 years of aiding people in Ireland to find a home.

The organisation helped more than 2,400 people out of homelessness in 2018 alone.

The charity launched its 'Closing the Door on Homelessness' campaign yesterday to mark the anniversary of its foundation in Ireland in 1969.

The campaign tells the stories of people it has supported to close the door on homelessness.

Simon Community clients will be sharing their experiences of the safety and security of closing their own front door behind them.

This is illustrated by clients, staff and volunteers sharing a selection of their stories. Pictured marking the occasion is Michael, a service user.
