Callely seen back in Leinster House
SENATOR Ivor Callely was back around Leinster House yesterday, even though he is still suspended from the Seanad.
Mr Callely is allowed on the Leinster House campus and is also entitled to attend Oireachtas committees.
However, none of the committees he is a member of were sitting yesterday, and it is understood he was in using his office.
He is currently serving a 20-day suspension from the Seanad after an Oireachtas committee found he misrepresented his normal place of residence for the purpose of claiming travel expenses.
The Dublin North-Central politician claimed €81,015 from his property in Kilcrohane, west Cork, over a two-year period.
His Seanad suspension will not finish until mid-November.
