The public is being urged to spread the word and take action to end homelessness amongst children.

A hard-hitting online campaign featuring posters of homeless children was launched by Inner City Helping Homeless yesterday as a call to action to reduce the number of children whose families are homeless. The #MyNameIs campaign urges people to contact local councillors and TDs to press for action to resolve the crisis.

It's also urging people to spread the message and offer their skills.

"We know people don't want an Ireland operating without a safety net and the inherent kindness of the Irish people should be mobilised into a social movement," said the charity's CEO Anthony Flynn.
