THE Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) seized two cars, three designer bags and four luxury watches after searches in four locations in south Dublin this morning.
Assisted by the Emergency Response Unit, CAB and local detectives used trained dogs to search four south Dublin locations in Tallaght and Crumlin this morning, targeting homes in Crumlin and Tallaght, as well as a business in Kilmainham and in Tallaght.
Two cars, a 162 registered BMW 730D and a 151 registered Volvo XC60 were seized, as well as four watches, branded Rolex, Tag Heuer, Breitling and Bvlgari.
A Gucci man bag and Fendi and Michael Kors handbags were also seized, as well as three Canada Goose coats and five Moncler jackets.
Gardaí also seized paperwork, including banking and financial documents, as well as three mobile phones, one of which was encrypted and a computer hard drive.
According to a spokesperson, this morning's raids targeted organised criminal gangs.
"This morning’s operation targeted an individual with strong links to organised criminality across the Dublin Metropolitan Region and is focused on the source of funds used to purchase and extensively re-develop a substantial property," a garda spokesperson said.
"The operation is a significant development in the on-going proceeds of crime investigation."
