It was a busy night last night for the Dublin Fire Brigade as they received a number of calls about vehicles on fire.

The Tallaght Station was called to battle fires as four vehicles were set on fire in separate areas throughout Tallaght.

One of the vehicles that went on fire was a tradesman's van, according to the DFB.

A near-by house in the Tallaght area had to be evacuated as smoke from a burning vehicle entered the house.

Meanwhile the DFB also attended to a car that collided with a pole in Artane.

There was a lucky escape for the driver as DFB reported no injuries.
