THE sister of former television presenter Bunny Carr has been laid to rest.
Gladys Sheehan, an actress, passed away on March 29 in St Vincent's Hospital, aged 91.
Her 85-year-old brother, famous for presenting the 'Quicksilver' quiz, was among the many friends and family members to say their goodbyes yesterday.
The funeral Mass took place at the Queen of Peace Church in Bray, Co Wicklow.
Ms Sheehan's son Darragh is deaf and the entire Mass was read and signed by Father Gerard Tyrrell and an assisting lay person.
Former TD Liz McManus was also there to pay her respects to the deceased, who founded a children's drama school and appeared in films opposite leading men including Richard Burton, Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan and Gabriel Byrne.
